Spinal manipulation involves providing a very quick thrust to a specific region of the spinal tissues at their end range to help improve range-of-motion and decrease pain. Although referred to as an “adjustment” by chiropractors, this term is actually a misnomer as no bones that are “out of place” are being put “back into place.”

Myofascial Decompression (Cupping)

Myofascial Decompression (more commonly referred to as “cupping”) is a soft-tissue modality that involves placing cups over targeted muscles and suctioning air out of them. This creates a pressure difference within the superficial layers of the soft tissues that helps to facilitate improvements in local blood flow.
